In this role, he effectively led a team of up to 15 agents. Throughout his tenure in Nashville, Varpness spearheaded numerous high-stakes investigations, including tackling the #1 ransomware variant in the country, managing a top-threat national security computer intrusion case, handling a high-profile espionage matter, and providing crucial assistance during the Nashville Christmas Day bombing.

Varpness holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Macalester College and boasts an impressive array of 14 current information security certifications. Before his final assignment, he served in the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit as a Profiler near Quantico. In this capacity, he provided consultations in a diverse range of criminal and national security cases, with a primary focus on cyber investigations.

Technology Council through a growth phase that includes a re-branding of the 10-year-old organization and increased membership by 29% and revenue by 89%. The organization served more than 400 companies connecting 23,000 tech workers in Middle Tennessee. In addition, he helped launch the Nashville Entrepreneur Center in partnership with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
 

Mr. Fetherling was recognized as a member of the Nashville Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Nashville Technology Hall of Fame in 2013. He was Trevor A. Fisk 1999 Young Marketer of the Year, a prestigious honor that recognizes the contributions of outstanding healthcare marketing professionals. Lisa has had a very dynamic career beginning with 16 years at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) where she was progressively promoted ultimately serving as the CFO for the company’s third largest global client relationship at near $3B in annual revenues.   Following her time at EDS, Lisa has spent near 17 years in the PE, family office, and owner-operator world serving as the CFO for Pegasus Logistics Group, Chalk Mountain Services of Texas, TechPro Power Group, LoadTex, Shoebacca, Red Stag Fulfillment and BESCO-ENGERT, and as well, having led business operations, new business strategy, and merger and acquisition for BancTec and Fujitsu Network Communications. 

Lisa has a B.S. in Accounting from Husson College, a M.S. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a Certified Public Accountant.
